Isleworth was already a settlement at the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066. Evidence of a Roman settlement was unearthed near Syon Park. Syon House, built in 1548, has been in possession of the Dukes of Northumberland since 1594. There are many Georgian houses in Church Street. All Saints Church dates from the 14th Century.
