Islington Museum was re-housed in 2008, and carries an extensive collection that relates to the history of this London borough. The actual borough is relatively young, coming into being in 1965. On display are a series of the original documents that celebrate the formation of the ceremonial area. Amongst other highlights in the museum are photograph archives that date back to the invention of the camera. There is also a small library attached to the museum holding local studies materials.
