John Vanbrugh is one of the most famous names associated with architecture and drama in the history of the United Kingdom. Vanbrugh lived much of his later life in this beautiful house on the edge of Greenwich Park which he designed himself. He was responsible for such architectural masterpieces as Audley End House in Essex and Castle Howard to name but a few.
