This vast cutter head is displayed below ground at the Cutty Sark Docklands Light Railway Station at the heart of maritime Greenwich. It was the actual drill head used to dig the tunnel under the River Thames that the Docklands Light Railway travels through. The tunnel travels between Cutty Sark Station on the south bank to Island Gardens which is on the north bank of the Thames. The tunnel runs close to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel.
