This 55-acre city park is located close to the centre of the bustling metropolitan district of Wandsworth in south London. First opened in 1923 by King George V this park has ever since been a popular place for locals and tourists alike to relax, walk, run and play sports in pastoral surroundings. The river Wandle runs along the eastern perimeter of the park. Facilities in the park include walking trails, a children’s adventure playground, a bowling club and an ecology society.
