Kingston Museum was built in 1904, but much of the interior and exterior were restored in the nineteen nineties. The museum charts the town’s illustrious history, its royal connections and the way people have lived in this riverside community for thousands of years. The museum contains local artefacts, manuscripts and literature relating to all things Kingstonian. The building also has an art gallery and local history research rooms that are available for hire.
