Laura Ashley was a stylish woman and she lived in this eminently stylish house close to Brompton Road in Knightsbridge. Welsh born, Laura Ashley became famous in the design world for her colourful works. Her company of shops and stores expanded quickly after its foundation and she became a household name throughout the 1960s and 1970s. She is recognised as being one of the greatest female designers Britain has ever produced.
