With one exhibit alone containing in excess of one million litres of water, the London Aquarium is one of the largest exhibits of its kind in Europe. Located in County Hall, the aquarium has fish species from all over the world. Conger eels, sharks and rays and starfish are some of the animals on show, with specific exhibits showing the marine life of rainforests, freshwater, and open ocean environments. The ‘sea-water’ used is actually treated London tap water that is mixed with salts 8 tonnes at a time.
