Lots Road Power Station, more commonly referred to as Chelsea Power Station is an icon of industrial London, casting a shadow across the Thames with a cold raw energy that is unrivalled by the modern apartment blocks that surround it. For many decades the Grade II Listed building provided energy to much of central London, coal being brought down the river by barge to be burnt in its enormous furnaces. Now it is a symbol of Chelsea, an iconic image that reminds us of an industrial past that has gone forever.
