Ludgate Circus has a great deal of historical significance because it has always acted as the geographical point where the City of London ends and the City of Westminster begins. Close to Fleet Street and Blackfriars, Ludgate Circus is a busy road and transport intersection that is home to some of the largest business and financial institutions in the country. The architecture around the circus, although less well detailed than that at the more famous Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus is more ornate and noteworthy.
