The Camel Corps is one of the bravest and most unsung divisions of the British Army. For well over a hundred years men have fought in the deserts for Kings and country in this highly trained and highly skilled part of the army. This statue commemorates and celebrates the achievements of thos who survived and those who were lost in the last hundred years of conflict. Many of the corps came from New Zealand, Australia, India and Canada as well as Britain. This statue attracts interest from tourists from around the world.
