Michael Balcon was a film producer at the very beginning of British cinema. He started his career in the 1920s helping to create some of the British silent movie masterpieces. He is however bes remembered for his pivotal role in the creation of the Ealing Studios which produced without doubt some of the best loved British films ever made. He lived in this fine central London home much of life.
