This house is one of the grander buildings to stand on the historic Golden Square at the heart of Soho. Morrell Mackenzie spent a great deal of his adult life living here and practising as a doctor, surgeon and researcher. He was the royal physician to both the German and English royal families, specialising in throat treatments. He became the first doctor to open a specifically throat orientated surgery.
