Mountsfield Park is a large area of green public land in the southern reaches of the London Borough of Lewisham. The park has been a place of rest and relaxation for the residents of the suburb and its many visitors for generations. The park is today used for organised sports matches at weekends including football, cricket and rugby. However, the majority of people just use it as a place to escape the busy dirty streets of south London.
