Often incorrectly referred to as Canary Wharf Tower, One Canada Square is the tallest building in the United Kingdom. Created as the centrepiece of the new Docklands business district, the sky-scraper was designed by Argentine architect Cesar Pelli. The building was completed in 1990 and serves as a lasting monument to capitalism which can be seen up to 25 miles away. The building has no public viewing platform.
