Penge War Memorial is located at the heart of the south London suburb in prominent view on the High Street. The small but beautifully created monument was erected as a constant reminder of the great sacrifices that were made by the people of the area during the dark days of Europe in the 20th Century. Many were lost and many lives changed forever in the defence of the basic freedoms that we now take for granted.
