Phillip Twells is remembered by the local community in the form of this monument that is proudly displayed at one end of the large ancient park of Lincoln's Inn Fields. Twells was member of parliament for the area around Holborn and the City of London and was one of the most influential figures in its development into one of the most important areas for commerce and law in the 18th Century.
