This centre was opened at the Royal College of Music as part of a major restructuring programme in 2003 and 2004. It brings together two well-known collections held by the college, the Museum of Instruments and the Department of Portraits and Performance History. There is an extensive series of exhibits on display relating, highlights of which are some fine portraits of some of the most famous composers and musicians of all time.
