The Prince Charles Cinema has been at its current home since the early 1990s, and is well known for its innovative programs of films as well for its cheap ticket prices. The building that houses the cinema was originally designed by Carl Fisher as a theatre, and opened in 1962. The theatre was closed in 1968 due to its poor lines of sight, and was redesigned as a cinema. It became the Prince Charles in 1991, and it hosts both new movies as well as older films, usually with a theme behind each month’s film listings.
