This theatre was formerly the Old Union Church and the building dates from the mid-19th Century. In 1968 the building was taken over by Group 64 and was transformed into a theatre, mainly by volunteers and donations. The theatre that you see today was refurbished and finished in 1998 complete with studio and bar areas accompanying the main auditorium. The theatre plays host to a numerous and diverse range of plays and shows by professional actors, youth groups and amateurs. It maintains a high reputation and is a popular fixture in the Putney social scene.
