Redbridge Museum was opened in the year 2000, and is designed to tell the story of over a hundred and fifty thousand years of history in this area. Now a borough of London, the community has changed dramatically in the last few hundred years. One of the main focuses of the collection is on the way that Wanstead, Woodford and Ilford have changed from 1850-1950. There is a large archive of archaeological finds also.
