Robert Fitzroy's House
38 Onslow Gardens, Kensington, London SW7 - England, UK

Map
Admiral Robert Fitzroy achieved fame as the captain of HMS Beagle. He lived in London, but spent a great deal of his adult life at sea on missions of scientific importance and geographical discovery. His interest in botany led him to the newly discovered New Zealand where he became governor for a time in the mid 19th Century. Fitzroy always loved his marvellous home in Kensington and returned there whenever he could.
