Roper’s Gardens
Chelsea Embankment, Chelsea, London SW3 - England, UK

Map
Roper’s Gardens are thought to have existed close to the River Thames and the Old Chelsea Church for many centuries. It is a small city garden with a great deal of attention to detail in both designs and in what has been planted there. The gardens are famous for containing one ancient cherry tree that was planted to commemorate the visit of Gunji Koizumi, the man who introduced Judo to England at the turn of the century.
