Ruskin Park's 36 acres contain flower gardens, tree-lined avenues, an ornamental pond, a paddling pool, a children's play centre, an all-weather sports area and a tennis court. The Park was designed by the great parks designer, Lt Colonel JJ Sexby, and is named after the writer and artist, John Ruskin, who lived nearby. Completed in 1907, it still has its original bandstand and portico. Around half the park is designated dog free.
