Sidcup War Memorial is a simple yet beautiful monument on the edge of The Green in central Sidcup. The memorial was erected to give thanks to the many brave people who lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars. Many of the great young people of Sidcup went off to war and never returned in order to defend the basic rights of liberty, freedom and democracy that today we take for granted.
