Sir Malcolm Sergeant’s House
Albert Hall Mansions, Kensington Gore, Kensington, London SW7

Map
Malcolm Sergeant was without any doubt the most influential conductor in modern classical music. His association with the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts made him a household name in the first half of the twentieth century. The apartment that he lived in for most of his life overlooked his beloved Royal Albert Hall, allowing him to stay in touch with the very latest developments in the musical world, and by all accounts never to be late to a concert!
