The Slade School of Art is part of the University of London and was founded in 1871. Felix Slade who envisaged a school of fine art within a liberal arts university started it as result of a bequest. Now one of the most prestigious seats of learning in the art world, the college has a public gallery where it exhibits many of the finest works that are being produced by its students.
