Southside House is located on Wimbledon Common, and was rebuilt in the William and Mary style by Robert Pennington after the great plague in 1665. It is one of the oldest houses that survives in Greater London and contains a wealth of interesting artefacts, antiques and artworks for the public to peruse. Amongst the eclectic collection is the memoir ‘The Story of San Michele’ which for a short time outsold the bible in the 20th Century.
