Since its very first stone was laid, Spencer House has been considered as one of the most impressive properties in this area of London. It was constructed over a period of around ten years between 1756 and 1766 for John, first Earl Spencer, and ancestor of Diana Princess of Wales. Close to Green Park and other impressive central London venues, the house contains an important collection of 18th and 19th Century antiques and art.
