Speranza’s House
87 Oakley Street, Chelsea, London SW4 - England, UK

Map
Lady Jane Wilde was an Irish poet, translator and vehement supporter of the nationalist movement. She spent a great deal of her time working in this fine house at the heart of Chelsea, the artist’s district of London at the time. Her works are well respected still today and she has several volumes of poetry available in most libraries. She is better known under her pseudonym ‘Speranza’ than her real name.
