The St Andrews Church at Holborn was one of the few churches to survive the Great Fire, but Wren rebuilt it anyway. It is one of Wren’s largest churches, due to the fact that the parish it had to serve was very large. The church was restored after the war, and is known for hosting a number of events involving historical figures. One such event was the baptism of Benjamin Disraeli, which was carried out after his father was criticised by the local Bevis Marks Synagogue.
