St Dunstan’s Church in Fleet Street was built in 1831 by the architect John Shaw and his son, although there has been church here as far back as the 10th Century. It is believed that perhaps St Dunstan himself or one of his close followers requested that the original church be built. St Dunstan in the West is well known for its famous clock, which dates back as far as 1671, and was the public clock in London to have a minute hand.
