St. Olav’s Church and Seaman’s Mission is a fine church at the very heart of the old village of Rotherhithe. The area has always had a close connection with maritime affairs because of its proximity to the docklands area of London. In times gone by a great many Norwegian sailors would come to the area whilst visiting the port of London and thus the Norwegian Church was built and still has a good sized religious congregation who visit on a regular basis.
