St. Paul’s is a magnificent church in the very centre of the bustling metropolitan area of Hammersmith. It’s not the first church to be built on the site, but surprisingly before the seventeenth century Christians in Hammersmith had to travel several miles into Fulham to worship. The majority of the present church was built in the 1800s with money gifted to the borough. The result is one of the largest and most spectacular parish churches in the capital.
