St. Thomas' Gardens are technically part of the grounds of the hospital, but are used as a public park by all those who live and work nearby as well as the countless thousands of tourists who pass by on their way over Westminster Bridge. The area has some beautifully manicured lawns with a fountain and pool at the centre. It is a place of relaxation and tranquillity that is used by all to escape the busy streets of the capital.
