Map
Bela Bartok is without doubt one of the most famous names in 20th Century classical music. His influence was far reaching and he was responsible for the founding of the discipline of Ethnomusicology, which he studied, taught and practiced much of his life. Hungarian by birth, Bartok adopted London as his home and wrote many of his greatest works in Kensington.
