Ferdinand Foch started his life with humble beginning in France. He joined the French army and slowly worked his way through the ranks. He soon made a reputation amongst his countrymen as a great military tactician and an extremely bold and brave service man. It was these qualities that led him to be elevated to the position of commander of the Allied forces during the First World War. This statue celebrates his extreme achievements in the military.
