Statue of William IV
College Gardens, Greenwich, London SE10 - England, UK

Map
This fine old statue stands close to the centre of Greenwich close to the Old Royal Naval College. It depicts King William IV. He was a great and celebrated King of England in the 19th Century and was closely associated with maritime affairs. It was his membership of the Royal Navy as a prince that endeared him to the people of Greenwich many of whom were in or associated to the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy at that time.
