The Strand Theatre, which has in the past been known as the Waldorf Theatre and the Whitney Theatre, is one half of twin theatres that surround the Waldorf Hotel. Designed by WGR Sprague, the theatre was opened in 1905 and is a Grade 2 listed building. The 1,050 seat theatre was the home of the comedy ‘No Sex Please - We’re British’, for over fifteen years in the seventies and eighties. It has also featured musicals such as The Rat Pack and Buddy.
