Swami Vivekananda was one of the most influential eastern philosophers of the late 19th Century. His work in Indian philosophy completely modernised a school of thought within the classical ways of thinking in modern thought. Although closely linked with India, he lived a good deal of his time in London where he studied and received academic support.
