This Centre is the principal shopping centre in the affluent and beautiful borough of Kingston Upon Thames. Named after the local department store that has traded in the town for 150 years the centre is a masterpiece of modern design, constructed in 1992. The spectacular nave is higher than that at Westminster abbey, the construction being inspires by Wren’s design for the nearby Hampton Court Palace. Within the sleek lines glass covered steel, the centre houses over 85 shops and attracts over thirteen million visitors a year.
