There is little question that 337 Whitechapel Road is one of the most infamous addresses in the east end of London. The still functioning public house has been was synonymous with the east end gangland mobs of the 1960s in the capital. The pub has always been in folklore because the Kray Twins drank there almost every day at the heart of their ‘manor’. On the 9th March 1966 Ronnie Kray shot and killed one of his gangland opponents within the pub. It is popular with tourists looking to relive these dark days of London.
