The Brunel Engine House is a fascinating museum in the heart of Rotherhithe, standing on the banks of the River Thames. The facility is dedicated to the life and times of both Marc Brunel and Isambard Kingdom Brunel who were two of the greatest designers and innovators of their time. The engine house was the masterpiece that allowed the first dug tunnel under the River Thames as it pumped all of the waste water out of the tunnel, which is to this day still used by the East London Line of the Underground network.
