This small but pretty church overlooking Gladstone Park has a distinctive bell tower out front. The Parish of St Andrew and St Mary was established in 1927 but it wasn’t until 1933 that the present building was constructed. The surrounding area took a fair pounding during the war but the church survived and an extension was added in the late 1970s. The bell was added in 1982, having been cast for the Papal Mass at Coventry.
