The Clockmakers' Museum was founded in 1813 and is the oldest specific timekeeping museum in the world. It was opened to the public in 1873 and carries an extensive collection of clocks and watches that belongs to the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. The museum is only one single room, but it is packed with magnificent pieces such as marine timepieces and pocket watches from the earliest days of clock manufacture.
