On the 5th April 1997 the Millennium Clock was installed on the Greenwich Prime Meridian to begin counting down the 1000 days that remained until the millennium. The clock was unveiled by Queeen Elizabeth the first who set it running its count in centi-seconds until the biggest new years party ever. The clock still remains and now shows the exact time at the place where time began on the Prime Meridian.
