This museum is dedicated to Britain’s seafaring history, and is the largest and one of the most important maritime museums in the world. There are both permanent and temporary exhibitions relating to exploration, trade, shipping and Admiral Lord Nelson, to name a few. Objects on display include paintings, ship models, maps, manuscripts, anchors and uniforms, including the coat that Nelson was wearing when he was killed during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
