The Oval is a large piece of common parkland on the edge of Sidcup in the far southern reaches of Greater London. Surrounded by a parade of shops and houses the area was set aside when designing this area of the suburb as a place where local people could meet, rest and relax. The area is poplar with those wishing to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life and want to simply sit and watch the world go by.
