London’s busiest and biggest independent cinema, taking over 370,000 admissions a year. It screens a wide variety of independent English and world film as well as some mainstream Hollywood content. Built in 1910 as the capitals first purpose built cinema, it has been a popular fixture in Brixton’s vibrant community ever since. The complex has five separate screens, state of the art projection and sound equipment as well as a jazz café and regular art exhibitions.
