This building is one of the most striking in central London because of its amazing Greco-Roman pillars and arches that protrude from the vast façade. The Royal Institution of Great Britain is housed within the structure and is the oldest independent research and study organisation in the country with over 200 years of living history. The institution has been closely associated with some of the most important scientific discoveries in the world including those of Faraday and Einstein.
